Application Integration

There exists a whole host of integrated application suites designed to enable firms to coordinate activities across their organisations and maximise the value delivered to customers whilst minimising operational costs.

However for the benefits to be reaped, firms need to focus on integrated applications that span different lines of business and different technology sets. Any difficulty in getting, for example, ERP, CRM, HR and business intelligence software to talk to communicate with each properly could hinder business efforts in general. IT just has to be fit for business.

This podcast from Computer Weekly will look at a range of issues including:

Determining how a new IT system can add value to existing business processes

User involvement in system development
How companies can ensure maximum ROI on new IT systems
The value of an integrated holistic systems approach

The podcast includes interviews with Simon Williams, an experienced IS Manager and David Pinches, Head of the Software group at Sage. They both provide real life examples and insight so you can ensure your IT systems are fit for your business.
