SMEs waste £42.2m a day with paper-based filing

UK SMEs are wasting £42.2m a day from using traditional paper filing instead of electronic document systems.
Document management firm Invu commissioned independent research among 800 UK managers and directors at SMEs to estimate the cost of using paper-based offices.
The survey showed valuable time is spent trying to locate paper documents, resulting in staggering financial losses.
Invu said the 4.5m SMEs in the UK waste an estimated £42.2m in total per day, based on traditional filing costing each SMEs up to £11,000 in lost costs every year.
